Mirage Taiba

The rooms are tiny, and with four beds there’s barely any room to move. There’s just one small closet, a desk, two bedside tables, and a TV. I’d accept a room with two beds at most. Before check-in, the room was cleaned well. The washroom is also cramped, though it has a sink, toilet, and shower space. There’s hot water, but only enough for a quick shower, around 15 minutes. Hand wash soap, body soap, and hair shampoo were provided, and there’s also a small fridge. The rooms are close together, and the crowds in the hotel made it uncomfortable. Some people leave their doors open because the rooms are so small. I’ve concluded that 3-star hotels are terrible, and this one isn’t hiding its 3-star rating. I might stay here alone as a bachelor, with one or two beds max. Four beds in one room? No. Come again with my family? No.

I had a great time at the Mirage Hotel Taiba. It’s very close to the Prophet’s Mosque, which made going for prayers convenient. The room was spacious, clean, and well furnished, with the amenities I needed to stay comfortably. Fantastic experience overall. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Medina and would definitely come back.

Albaik is just across the road, and the Haram is within walking distance.

We stayed four nights, and I was happy with the place. The distance to the Haram was manageable, the rooms were clean, and the service staff were very supportive. There’s a handy little kiosk in the lobby with hot tea and some grocery items. The neighborhood stayed lively around the clock, with lots of shops selling gifts, plus a supermarket, cafeteria, and pharmacy.
