The rooms smelled, and they went uncleaned for days until checkout. Then, for no reason, staff showed up the day before we were due to leave and told us to move to another room within half an hour. It was handled very disrespectfully. They didn't provide water, shampoo, soap, or body wash, and the bathrooms were extremely small. The fridge smelled like poop. There seemed to be no quality checks at all. Management staff were extremely disrespectful, though I'm not talking about the cleaning crew. Nothing was managed properly. What a waste of time and money. Don't choose this hotel.

The hotel itself wasn't what made my stay. It was the people. Abdullah, the security guard, Muadz at reception, and the benggali guy were all so cool. They weren't just nice, they were great.

The staff behaved well and tried their best to help, but getting clean towels, drinking water, and room cleaning took repeated reminders. At first there were no towels. There were no basic things like a tea kettle, toiletries, or an iron either. The rooms were unhygienic, with a decades-old carpet that was dirty and smelled bad. The refrigerator had a rotten egg smell. It's about a 10-minute walk to Masjid e nabwi gate 310.

I booked two rooms, but with the Iran war airspace closures and airline cancellations, I asked to cancel one and get a refund. They replied in Arabic, which I couldn't understand. I immediately wrote back that if there was no refund, I would keep both rooms and didn't need the cancellation. When I arrived the next day, I asked for the two rooms I'd paid 1734.00 riyal for. The hotel said they had no other room for me, even though they were fully booked for the next three days. They promised a full refund, and one receptionist confirmed it had been processed. I only got 35.84 riyal back. The manager didn't understand what had happened, or I don't know why that was the amount. I was told I needed to contact the person who handles booking.com. I sent that contact numerous messages, called without an answer, and got no response on WhatsApp either. Eventually, that person declined my call. I spoke with 3/4 people at the hotel reception, but got nowhere. They didn't give me the room or return my 1734 riyal, equivalent to 346 pound. What a daylight robbery in the most holiest place. I'm writing this to warn others to be careful about giving this hotel your card details. Once they take your money, they don't want to know you. If I get my money back, I'll take this review off.
