Blue Rose Garden Hotel Olaya

The location worked well for sightseeing, with the train station nearby and easy travel to different places. The support staff, including the bell men, laundry workers, housekeeping and restaurant team, were really nice and tried to help. My trouble was dealing with reception. Check-in and a service mix-up were stressful, and getting things done at the front desk felt confusing. I wonder if it would have been easier if I spoke Arabic. They list English as a language they can speak, but I hadn't realized how much the language barrier would affect the stay. As an English speaker, I'd probably look for another hotel in Riyadh. I managed, but wasn't happy with the experience and kept wondering if there were better options.

For the room price, this is a clean, no-frills hotel with helpful staff and a central spot near the old city center. I didn't enjoy the breakfast buffet, and they don't have a weighing scale. The shower temperature needs controlling or the water gets super hot. I'd recommend it if you're after a budget-friendly place.

A very good experience: clean, roomy rooms, a convenient location, and staff who responded promptly. I'd happily recommend it to others.

The breakfast buffet was nice, and our waiter was so kind that he even took photos of us. The shower didn't have hot and cold options, though, and the receptionist wasn't very accommodating. She even asked my friend, who had booked the rooms, if she "understood" the room set-up 🙄.
