The breakfast choices were limited, mostly American food with a few Arabic dishes. The chai was good, though the omelettes were below average. Our rooms were said to be upgraded to deluxe at reception, but they didn't seem different from standard rooms, so I couldn't tell if it was a real upgrade or just an offhand comment. There is a park within walking distance, but not much else nearby for shops or groceries. The gym was good and had plenty of equipment, including treadmills and a boxing bag, and the hotel also has a swimming pool. The rooms were generally clean, although the bathroom door in my friend's room was visibly worn at the bottom. Parking is limited and can be tricky, and the metro station is about 3-4 km away. MENA Hotel is a decent budget option in Riyadh. It was an okay stay for a short visit, nothing special but acceptable.

NABEEL MAHMOOD The staff were courteous and attentive throughout my stay, and room service was quick and efficient. My room was spotless, comfortable, and well kept. I had an excellent stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for somewhere pleasant.

The pool and gym are good for a reasonable rate, but breakfast was average and not worth SAR 50 per person. The washroom needs work: its doors were old and damaged, and the floor drain worked poorly. Water stayed behind and flooded some areas, leaving the floor constantly wet.

Some staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, and a few were amazing. The place felt mostly safe and comfortable, so it might be satisfactory for a single night. I was there for 9 nights, though, and the photos looked much better than the reality. It needs a thorough cleaning and updated appliances. The TV and sink were old, and the refrigerator looked like a second-hand college dorm one. My first room smelled like an ashtray even though I'd requested non-smoking. The second was better, but had a different odor. Management needs to maintain the place better. This doesn't feel like a 4 star hotel to me, maybe 2 star.

The restaurant staff stood out. Mr Manoj thapa and MR Omer were very good at their work, going to each table to check on guests and make sure everyone had what they needed. I liked their hospitality and wish the staff and hotel well. Meena hotel is a good choice for a stay in Riyadh, with nice, cozy rooms and cooperative staff.
