Mira Business Hotel

My stay was upsetting and well below expectations. I don't think the hotel offers value for the price, and I wouldn't recommend it without major improvements to transparency and customer service. I had booked a Deluxe Room at a higher rate, knowing the hotel has both newer and older rooms. After a disagreement at check-in, I was assigned an older room, which felt retaliatory. The air-conditioning was noisy, the bathroom was in poor shape, the pillows were uncomfortable, and the room quality didn't match what I paid. On arrival, they asked for an unexpected cash deposit that Expedia hadn't mentioned in my reservation. I had no cash, but the staff insisted. The mini-bar was empty, so I couldn't see the reason for the deposit. When I asked to speak to the duty manager, he refused to meet or speak with me. That showed a lack of professionalism and poor service.

The room was a decent size and the location was good, but I wouldn't recommend staying here. The breakfast wasn't fresh or good, the cutlery was plastic, and there was no salt or pepper on the table. The washroom had no soap, so bring your own.

The shower pressure was awful, so I couldn't shower before my event, and the AC wasn't working properly. During events in Riyadh, they were charging 1400 riyal for a night and 2000 riyals for an extension. For a place that looks like a very basic budget motel from the 90s, that's a poor approach. I wouldn't recommend it unless all you need is somewhere to sleep.

The Metro is less than a minute's walk away, and across the road there's a petrol station with a convenience store and Dunkin Donut. The room was clean. Room service was a little slow, but the staff were friendly.
