The lobby has complimentary maamoul and Saudi coffee available all day, a thoughtful cultural touch. The staff were kind and welcoming, though they tended to stay reserved unless approached. My Wi-Fi was strong and reliable for calls and streaming, but the mobile signal inside was weak. I spent six days here on business and would happily return. The clean, cozy apartment had soothing white décor, a comfortable bed, and housekeeping kept it spotless. Having a kitchen was handy for light meals, though the coffee capsules were average, so coffee lovers may want to bring their own. The location worked well for my meetings, with government offices nearby. Cafes are also a short walk or quick drive away. The hotel isn't connected to the Riyadh Metro, and KAFD station is about a 15-20-minute drive. Breakfast could be much better. There were small treats in the lobby from 7 to 11 a.m., but they weren't always restocked, and there was no proper breakfast option. A partnership with a nearby cafe or restaurant could add dining service. The furnishings could use a little more shine, too. Prices felt a bit high for Riyadh. Booking.com wasn't the best deal, so check rates directly with the hotel. A 10-20% reduction would make the value more compelling. Palm Gate is still a charming, comfortable choice in a prime spot, and I'll be back.
