It was okay, though there was too much noise in the morning.

The restaurant was a letdown, with many menu items either misspelled or unavailable. The room itself is a good size, but the only view is a wall. The toilets were spotless and in excellent condition, though their doors seemed old. There’s also just one receptionist, and they aren’t available all the time.

The staff are friendly, and the hotel is clean, reasonably priced, and well located. It has a swimming pool, sauna, and jacuzzi. You can book the pool for an hour each day for private time with your family, and they provide complimentary Arabic coffee once during your stay.

The lobby and rooms look decent, and after I had to switch rooms, I got a comfortable bed and clean sheets. The front desk and other staff were generally helpful and accommodating, and the location works well for ordering Ubar or a taxi. They also offer complimentary Arabic coffee. There were still a lot of problems. In the bathroom, cleaning seemed to be a quick wipe of the surfaces, and the bedding wasn’t always clean depending on the room. They tried to cover cigarette and other unpleasant smells with diluted perfume. Breakfast tasted watery and canned, and the Arabic coffee was low quality and gave me an upset stomach. A few front desk staff also seemed uncomfortable doing their jobs.
