Shebara Resort

We had a really lovely stay, with one nuisance: mosquitoes and flies were around all day. The architecture and interiors looked stunning, the food was great, and the facilities and service were top-notch. Special thanks to the young Saudi team, whose training and professionalism showed, and whose hospitality made the experience even better.

Diving was one of the best parts of our stay. Shebara’s modern, well-equipped dive center had a friendly, professional team, and everything from the gear to planning was well organized. Around Sheybarah, we saw vibrant coral gardens, schools of fusiliers, turtles, and even a few reef sharks in the distance. It was a lovely mix of adventure and calm. Our water villa was breathtaking, with a private pool and a sea view. Its design, inspired by bubbles rising from the Red Sea, looked mesmerizing, especially at sunset when the curved facades caught the golden light. Even arriving by boat through turquoise water felt special. The food, from breakfast through dinner, was top-notch, and service was warm, attentive, and genuine throughout. Shebara is an architectural statement in untouched nature, bringing together luxury, tranquility, and sustainability in a way that’s hard to describe.

We travel a lot, and both of us agreed this was the best resort we’ve stayed at. For the price, we even preferred it to the luxury resort we visited in Maldives. We tried both villa types, the beach and overwater ones, and still can’t decide which was more beautiful. Each gave us privacy on the terrace, so we could really relax. The views were breathtaking, and the staff were exceptionally professional. Getting around was easy with buggies always available, and reception responded quickly and effortlessly. We loved the spa, with its calm, beautiful design and some of the best massages we’ve had. A boat snorkeling trip was perfectly organized, and the coral and colorful fish were the most stunning we’ve ever seen. Dining was another highlight: the Michelin-starred chef’s Bolognese and Italian dishes at AreaMare were unforgettable, as was the sushi at Iki-roe. There’s a lot to do, including pools, restaurants, sports areas, yoga, an amazing gym, water sports, and bonfire barbecue. The kind staff noticed our wedding anniversary and arranged a few surprises. They also brought desserts to our room every day, and the minibar was completely free. Airport transfers and updates were anticipated before we even had to ask. We felt like royalty in a paradise on earth. Thanks, Shebara team, we can’t wait to return!

The hotel’s design is impressive, the rooms are beautiful, the food is very good, and the staff are caring and courteous. But my family, including our 2-year-old baby, left covered in cuts. The pool in our villa was in very bad shape, with horrendous sharp finishing. We told the staff, and the answer was, “We apologize about the pool tiles.” We had several bloody marks on our bodies. Apart from that, everything was amazing.
