Hotel L'Ocean

Saelin really made our stay amazing. He understands what guests need and was a great host. We were in a hurry to get bikes, and he quickly arranged the ones he recommends, which were really good. When we had to leave early, he also provided a great takeaway breakfast. The room itself, like many on La Digue, didn't feel like the best value for money.

The rooms were very old for the price, but they were clean. The staff were kind, arranged bicycles at the hotel, and had a shuttle waiting at the ferry to take us there. Breakfast was very nice and good. Many thanks for the kindness, help, and breakfast.

The manager and staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient, and the service was excellent. We had a clean room with good bedding, though the mattress had seen better days. The room felt a bit dated, an old school kind of hotel, but it wasn't bad. There was a balcony with a lovely ocean and island view, plus a minibar fridge and small safe. The bathroom had new tiles, but the shower was very cramped and there was no bath. The open air restaurant served really good food. Everything worked properly, the hotel was very clean, and there was WiFi and a television in each room.

We were so glad we ended up here for my partner's 50th birthday. We couldn't have been looked after better. The view from our room and the restaurant was amazing, and breakfast was fantastic. We didn't eat there at night, but when we mentioned needing bicycles, they were arranged in no time. On our last day we had to leave before breakfast, so they packed us a meal for the journey. It even covered lunch! Thanks so much for the kind gesture. We really appreciated it, and I'm sorry it took me so long to write this review.
