Au Fond De Mer View Apartments

The beach is only about three minutes across the street, and there are two nearby options. One has a wide stretch of sand; the other is smaller but more picturesque, with large boulders and the snorkeling spot. The snorkeling is good, though you'll need flippers to go farther because of the strong current. Both beaches have algae, so in strong winds the grass keeps tickling you in the water. It didn't bother us, and the beaches suited us well. Shops and other services are within walking distance, though we had a car, which made things even easier. It was our first trip to the Seychelles, and we stayed with Solana at Au Fond De Mer. Solana and the girls who assist her were great, helping with advice, recommendations, and support, and providing quality service. The apartments are stylish, with a large grounds and fantastic terrace, all finished in cozy tiles. The furniture isn't new, but it isn't worn out either. It gives the place a captivating mix of African and European styles. We had all the amenities we needed and didn't feel anything was missing.

Solana and her daughter were so helpful, and they keep the apartments running extremely well. Solana also shared lots of useful sightseeing ideas and local tips, including where to shop and snorkel. Our two-bedroom unit was lovely, spacious, and incredibly clean and well maintained, with an amazing ocean view. We recently visited the Seychelles and couldn't have picked a better location for us. We loved our time there and at Au Fond De Mer View apartments. We highly recommend these self-catering apartments.

The location made it easy to enjoy the island, with two beautiful beaches a short walk away. There's a short, steep hill up to the accommodation that might be difficult for people with accessibility needs, though it wasn't a problem for us. Parking is available at the accommodation and down near the beach. My partner and I had an amazing stay at Au Fond De Mer, one of our best experiences. The property was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Our room had everything we needed and more, including a kitchen with all the necessary utensils. Solana, the owner, was incredibly helpful and took care of anything we needed quickly and with genuine care. We were even given early check-in at 10 am, which helped after our early flight. Everything exceeded our expectations. We can't recommend it enough and would love to return!

The setting is peaceful and residential, with easy parking inside the gated garden right by the building. Shops and restaurants are only a few minutes away on foot, and a lovely beach for swimming and snorkeling is just downhill. You can manage without a car, though having one would help if you want to see more of the island. We spent five nights at Au Fond de Mer in December 2025, and the whole stay went smoothly. Solana made check-in easy, and the apartment was spacious, spotless, and well cared for. The huge terrace had one of the best ocean views we've ever seen. We'd gladly stay here again.
