Those two beaches were my favourite part of Coco Blanche, with stunning warm blue water. One is across the street and relatively quiet, though artisan men were often in front of the smaller beach, probably hoping people would buy from the little shop next door, so I avoided it as a woman. I went to the other beach in the late afternoon and unexpectedly saw tropical fish and stingrays. It’s around 100 metres away, near the bus stop and school, but the surrounding bushes gave it privacy. We were upgraded at check-in from a studio to a much larger villa with a huge bathroom and great air conditioning in the bedroom. I loved the heavy wooden doors, which I think were soundproof. The villa felt like a home away from home, and the hosts were very welcoming. The hospitality was on the level of a hotel. I’d highly recommend staying here and could sing Coco Blanche’s praises forever. I’d suggest Coco Terra toward the back of the property, since the villas near the road get noise from passing buses and trucks.

The nearest beach wasn’t very nice, with boats and lots of seaweed. Still, renting a car makes a stay at Coco Blanche worthwhile. The self-catering villas were lovely and quiet, with everything you could want. Lucy was amazing and did all she could to make our stay great, including telling us about beaches, places to visit, and good restaurants.

Lucy and her team made this holiday one to remember. The view was a big part of that, and the place itself was cute and tidy. Lucy was wonderful, taking extra time to help us find good places to eat, arrange a car, and even bringing muffins from the Spar. For a home away from home, this is where you want to go. I’d rate it 10/10.

The owner was friendly and very helpful, but we were disappointed by both the villa and its location. There’s no beach view, and you have to cross the road to reach the beach. The water is so shallow that swimming isn’t possible. Snorkeling over the shallow seagrass and damaged coral showed almost nothing, and you could scrape yourself. If you’re looking for a swimming beach, this isn’t the place. You need a car to reach other beaches and places. The villa was large and clean, but lacked character and coziness. The bed was small and the most uncomfortable one we had during our Seychelles trip. The couch was uncomfortable too, and there was no indoor dining table, just a kitchen counter. Sitting outside meant being overlooked by guests in the other villas, with no sense of privacy. This was the most expensive and most uncomfortable place we stayed. The photos of the owners on the homepage are misleading. The woman who owns the place now is definitely not the woman pictured.

Lucy and her team are so caring, and the villas have everything you need for a stay on the Seychelles/Mahé. There’s a bus stop and small grocery store right in front of the property. Anse Royale, with a few shops and restaurants, is a 15-minute walk away. A very recommendable place to stay!
