Eden Island - Apartments

When we stay on Mahe, we like renting an apartment in this secured residential area. The apartments are beautiful and spacious, and there are lots of sports activities, beaches, swimming pools and a nice restaurant. We enjoy getting around inside the area by golf cart without needing a car. Just outside it, there’s a European-style supermarket and plenty of good restaurants.

The villa is in a lovely spot, with a beautiful beach and lots of sea life, and the cleaners did a good job. There weren’t any bad humidity smells. The place is a bit outdated and needs some maintenance, though. In more than one room, the toilet flush fell down, and old toilet flushes seem to be an issue in other villas too.

The apartments are lovely, with great views. There are bars and restaurants close by, plus beaches and sports courts right on the island.

I booked this for a couple of nights after a sailing trip because I wanted a washer and dryer in the room. The room and facilities were much nicer than I expected, and the location is handy, with a grocery store nearby and beaches and pools easy to reach on foot around the island. Each room also comes with a golf cart for getting around. The front desk staff were lovely. They let me check out late for my flight and helped sort out a key problem that was my own fault, without making a fuss. Just note that the minimum stay is two nights.
