Fler Payanke Apartment

We’ve stayed at Fler Payanke twice now, first for about 10 days in 2020 and most recently for two and a half weeks. We loved it enough to return, and after driving around the whole island and staying somewhere new on La Digue, we felt lucky to have found Andrea’s place. It’s top quality. Andrea is a lovely, friendly and knowledgeable host. She lent us snorkels, brought us avocado and bananas, shared hiking tips, and kindly kept some of our luggage while we were on La Digue. She has four dogs and two cats, which is a bonus if you like animals. The place is beautifully built, with chic cement finishes and lovely wood details. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom is great, and folding window doors let in lovely light and air. Laundry is available for a fee, and regular cleaning was handy on our longer stay. It sits high on a hill among gorgeous gardens and jungle, looking out over a colourful cemetery and the ocean. Morning coffee comes with a wonderful garden and sea view. The driveway is steep, so take care by taxi or car. With a car, it’s central for exploring the north, south and west. On foot, there are four grocery stores and a great open air fish and vegetable market within 5 to 15 minutes, plus a bus stop at the bottom of the hill. We managed on foot before renting a car, and Anse Royale’s beaches are right nearby.

We’d happily come back. The owner was friendly, the apartment was nice and well located, and the view of the beach was stunning. Anse Royal village is a 10 minute walk, and one of the nicest beaches is about 25 minutes away on foot.

Alo.........It’s a lovely, peaceful place, and the owner is welcoming and friendly. I’d definitely recommend staying here on a visit to the Seychelles.

The apartment has plenty of space and a great view, but the cleaning is inadequate.
