Ixora Villa

We were especially taken with the turtles. Our son ran out every morning to feed and pet them, and even got to wash some. Antoine and Sylvianne sometimes gave us fruit from the garden, too, and were always responsive and ready to help. The villa has a barbecue area and an outdoor veranda looking over the sea and jungle, where flying foxes could be seen. There’s a beautiful garden full of exotic fruit trees, and harmless, very cute geckos help keep insects away. Inside, it’s older but spacious and cozy, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen-living room. It has what four people need, including a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, ceiling fans in each room, and AC in the bedrooms. The appliances all worked properly, and the villa was cleaned three times a week and kept tidy. The location was convenient: a shop is within walking distance, the airport is a half-hour drive, Anse Royal is five minutes away by car, and Intendance and Polis Bay are 15-20 minutes away. We had a family holiday in Seychelles in February 2024. Thanks for a wonderful stay, we’ll definitely return!

Antoine made our stay especially nice: he cooked breadfruit for us, took us into the mountains, shared daily advice, and told us about Seychelles flora and fauna. He also brought us fruit, including papaya, each day. There are fruit trees and turtles in the garden. The villa was clean and well equipped, and it’s a great place for a holiday on Mahe. The owners made the stay lovely, and Sylvianne cooked us a delicious dinner that we shared together. There’s a whole herd of turtles for the kids, and our son even had a turtle rodeo. The villa is very spacious and equipped with everything, including washing powder, dishwasher detergent and beach toys, so you don’t need to bring those. A great place for a family holiday. The garden was lovely and the location was amazing. The house was very clean, had every appliance we needed, and the WiFi was excellent. Our hosts were the best: Sylvianne made wonderful food, and Antoine took us on a great mountain trip. They also taught us so much about their country’s culture. I recommend this to anyone visiting Seychelles.
