The rooms were comfortable, the pool was fantastic, and Andrew and Kushal really tried to make things fun, enjoyable and luxurious for our family of five at Laila. Thanks to the staff for arranging a nice stay, and we’d like to come back. At the same time, there were some clear gaps. The advertised spa was booked for two weeks, and although the hotel lists a hair salon/barber, there were no facilities for men. At check-in, nobody mentioned Kafe Kreol, even though its beachside seating and regular events make it a standout restaurant and part of the hotel. Those shortfalls make it easy to see why Laila will probably stay a 4-star hotel for the foreseeable future.

We had a great family stay at Laïla, Seychelles, a Tribute Portfolio Resort in January 2026. The beach is just steps away, the pool area is gorgeous, and the boutique-style Marriott property has lovely greenery and a relaxed island feel. Our spacious, spotless rooms were thoughtfully designed and comfortable to come back to after exploring. Staff were generally warm and accommodating, and made an effort to help. My sister has a food allergy, and they were able to sort out everything she needed. We enjoyed breakfast and the other food, especially the poolside menu, with lots of options for dietary needs like vegan and vegetarian. As someone who loves food, though, I wished the portions were bigger. The hotel sits on a main road, so some rooms may get traffic noise. We also heard musical performances at the pool bar in the middle of the hotel in the evenings, which was a bit disruptive when we were trying to sleep. Still, it’s a stylish, peaceful base in a fantastic Mahé location if you want somewhere modern and relaxed.

The team at Laila Resort and the Kreol restaurant made our Seychelles holiday unforgettable. We split our stay between the first two nights and the final four, and we can recommend the place without reservation. Professional service and warm hospitality, along with the team’s easygoing charm, were a perfect end to our trip. GM Nicholas and the team are doing a great job. The free kayaking was a lovely part of the holiday. Our trip had a guide with us, and they organized it in a way that made it really enjoyable. We also had a very interesting city tour on Wednesday. Jossel was our guide, and they knew the subject well and kept us engaged, which made both the excursion and kayaking more memorable. The hotel was clean and well maintained, the food was very tasty, and the staff were polite, friendly and always smiling. I’m very satisfied and give it the highest rating. I really appreciate the wonderful stay.
