Petit Baie Chalets

We slept so well with the gentle sound of leaves and waves around us. The chalet was spacious and spotless, with a super comfortable bed and a big terrace. From it, we could see the sea and the garden, where two giant turtles live. The place sits among lush greenery, and the lovely family hosting us was ready to help with anything. They arranged a rental car and drop-off at the airport, and everything went smoothly. I highly recommend it! :)

For getting to know the island, David from only two entrances to the south is someone I’d suggest. He’ll show you places that aren’t easy to reach by bus or find by car, at a very reasonable price. The room we had was my favourite, with the ocean and a nicely kept garden with tortoises visible from the veranda. It’s a nice place to start exploring. For self-catering, you can get what you need, though walking along the roadside can feel a bit exciting, especially when a bus comes by. There’s a typical Mini-Mart right in front, but it was out of order during our visit. The next one is on the other side of the beach, about a 10-minute walk.

Our terrace was the best part, with green trees around it and one side open toward the sea. The houses sit in a lovely green garden near the water, and the hosts were very nice. Everything was clean and spacious. We drove around the island, visited lots of lovely beaches, took short hikes, and enjoyed Victoria. We had a great stay at Petit Baie Chalet.

The beach across the road is beautiful and calm, and the two tortoises are friendly little characters who love being fed vegetables. Our rooms were clean, and the hosts were very friendly. There’s a bus stop just a couple of minutes away for exploring. Highly recommend Petit Baie.
