Le Relax Hotel and Restaurant

We only needed a room for five or six hours after an unexpected flight delay, but were ready to pay the normal one night price shown online. At checkout, though, the hotel tried to charge twice that amount. When we asked about it, the owner came out and said it was policy, without explaining how the price was calculated. He gave us an ultimatum: pay the inflated amount or leave without paying. We felt pressured and taken advantage of, especially since we were willing to pay the standard rate. There was no apology or professional effort to resolve it. That evening my partner developed painful red sores and bite marks on her legs, back and arms. They appeared after our stay, and she hadn't had any such problem during the rest of our time in Seychelles. The timing and pattern make us suspect bed bugs or a similar bedding hygiene issue. We took photos of the reactions, and had no problems at any other accommodation during our trip. The food was passable, but that doesn't outweigh the billing and hygiene concerns. We are asking for a partial refund because of the charge and the effect this has had on my partner's health and well being. Avoid this property if fairness, cleanliness and basic respect matter to you.

The view is the only thing I still like here. I used to eat at this restaurant often from 2022 and enjoyed both the food and service. But since 2024, my last few visits have all been disappointing. The food has little taste, poor quality and smaller portions. It seems there may no longer be experienced people in the kitchen or restaurant. Service has become slow and unprofessional, and the drinks are just as tasteless and poor quality. They feel like a waste. The prices are still high, though that alone isn't the issue. I'd pay more if the food were as good as it used to be, but now it just isn't worth it. I'd rather get takeaway around Anse Royale than spend money here. Everything except the view has gone downhill. Not recommended.

Good hotel and excellent staff. Mr.surendra at reception was especially helpful and welcoming. He has a great future ahead.

We used a pool pass as residents to have a small family gathering at the hotel. The place is very clean, and the staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. The pool was a good size and no more than 1.5m deep, just what we needed since some of us aren't strong swimmers. I really enjoyed the butter chicken from the mostly Indian menu. The drinks were a little pricey and the tiles around the pool a bit slippery, but we had a very good experience otherwise. The view over Anse Royale bay was awesome. This was my second visit, and I'll definitely come again.
