The Old School Self Catering

The manager gave us great help getting our lost phone back, which we really appreciated. The rooms were clean and ready for us, with a washing machine, and the place was fairly quiet. There are some breakfast options downstairs. Shops and restaurants are a bit of a walk, and it gets dark at night. It’s far from the beaches, so you’ll need a car or can take the bus. The bus stop is right outside the building. Four stars for that.

The staff were so kind and attentive, and arranged both a rental car and a boat trip to Curieuse Island for us. That made the stay really easy and comfortable. We had a fantastic few days at Old School Self Catering. The apartment was very clean and had all the facilities we needed. The jetty is close by. We recommend it!

We slept well here, the surroundings were quiet at night. The landlady kindly helped with all our questions, and they even washed our dishes, which we hadn’t expected. Downstairs there’s a lovely little café serving a great breakfast at a reasonable price. Supermarkets and pharmacies are not far away. The apartment was huge, brand new, spotless, and had absolutely everything we needed. We’d stay again, 5/5!

Elca gave us a warm welcome when we arrived, and Steve went out of his way to find us a boat at the best price. The staff were incredibly helpful. We had a fabulous time at the Old School. It’s just a 10-minute walk from the main ferry terminal, Vallée de Mai is 3 km away, and grocery stores are around the corner. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the kitchen was fully equipped. Fully recommended!
