Best Western Valhall Park Hotell

The breakfast bread was delicious. It’s a beautiful setting, and the hotel is calm and pleasant. The staff were incredibly helpful: our room had a noisy draft, and Clara sorted it out. She even asked the next morning how I’d slept.

On a nice day, the terrace is a good place to sit. Lunch costs around 10 euros, which seems fair, and it’s self-service. Coffee is included, though it isn’t very good. I’ve eaten here a few times because I work fairly nearby, and the food was always very good, even if it might not suit everyone. Sometimes there are Swedish specialties that, to my eye, resemble Eastern European or Russian food. More often, it’s pretty standard European fare.

I was here for an automotive conference, and the conference facilities were very good. The restaurant was modern and served good food, and the staff were very helpful. The rooms were clean, with simple, modern furniture. It was great to experience Swedish culture here. This isn’t like a typical Best Western in the US. It’s a remodeled military base in a park setting, and it’s been done very nicely.

The sofa bed wasn’t especially comfortable for an adult, but otherwise the facilities were great, including the restaurant. The place is really nice, with green surroundings and modern facilities, and we were very pleased with our stay. Extra thanks to Kit at reception, who helped us sort out a misunderstanding about charging our electric vehicle.
