I’ll definitely come back next time we’re in Kivik. It’s a quiet spot near the harbour and all the sights. The rooms are on the small side, though having a private balcony or deck makes that less of an issue. Everything was clean, and the service was great. The hotel has a lovely retro look, and breakfast had plenty of high-quality choices, including rolls baked from scratch each morning.

The retro art and furniture were a highlight, and breakfast was excellent. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, with mini split HVAC that you can control yourself. The manager lives on site and is available if you have questions. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to family and friends.

The room size is the one real drawback. The rooms are clean, but very small compared with standard places to stay, and the shower cubicle is so tiny it’s hard to dry off. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re bringing a lot of luggage. Still, the decor is beautiful, with distinctive books and art, and the stay should be peaceful. There’s a simple breakfast in the morning and a kitchen available around the clock if you want to cook. The beach is within walking distance, and a few good restaurants and ICA are less than five minutes away on foot. Book at least three months ahead for summer.
