Hotell Villa Rönne

The view from the safe balcony was beautiful, and cafes and restaurants were close enough for my wife to walk to. The place was incredibly clean: my dog went under the bed, and it was spotless. My wife is allergic to regular dogs, but she didn't react to signs of previous visitors. It suited our family with a small child and a dog very well. The shower and toilet are in separate rooms, a nice detail, and the little kitchenette is well equipped. Soft towels and free parking on site were good to have. We didn't have time to rent the canoes, though that would've been a bonus. All in all, excellent value.

A quiet, comfortable place with self-contained accommodation, and the owner and staff were lovely. I liked the candy shelf by the entrance when a sweet craving hit. The garden is wonderful, with a view over the Rönne River.

The room was spotless and homely, with a balcony looking over the Rönne River. It had a small table and two chairs, plus a kitchenette. The toilet and shower were in separate rooms. We took the last room, on the second floor, which meant climbing a steep staircase. We liked the garden and its pier, though it was too cold to sit out there for long. If you bring bikes, this could be a great base for rides. We booked at short notice for one night and were welcomed warmly. Payment came with a door code. There are four parking spaces in the garden, and parking was tricky; there was nothing free on the nearby streets either. The nightly price felt high compared with nearby hotels that include breakfast, and the small toilet only had hand soap. We'd be happy to return.
