We showed up with our luggage after 8 PM, having booked spontaneously just before 8 while passing through. The doors were locked. On the phone, the hotel told me it closed at 8, and when I asked whether they could still let us in, they simply said no, only until 8. We went back to the car and watched three staff members leave for the night. That’s a terrible way to treat guests. One star feels generous.

Getting here is easy, so it seems well suited to people traveling by road. The room was clean, quiet, and had everything we needed, and the food was reasonably priced and nice, with cooks from Thailand. It exceeded our expectations, and we’d recommend it.

A handy place to stop after landing at Arlanda, about a two-hour drive from the airport. They have hot food, cookies and pastries, plus a coffee and candy shop. Prices are reasonable, though it can get busy.

This roadside diner has a great atmosphere and serves a welcome change from the usual fast food. The menu has a good range of home-style dishes, mostly classic Swedish fare with some more modern options mixed in. Recommended! There are Tesla chargers in the parking lot too.

The smash burger looked great, but didn’t have much flavor. The fries were okay. The HP sauce bottles were nearly empty, and looked as if they’d been that way for a while. Staff seemed to be doing their best. Ordering was a little confusing: you tell the cook what you want, then go over and tell the cashier.
