The two-bedroom unit we got didn’t have the layout shown in the photos. The listing also feels misleading: these are basic cabins more than proper “apartments.” Guests have to pay extra for linens, and that’s usually included in hospitality. Once you add that cost to the nightly rate, it comes to as much as or more than a decent hotel room elsewhere. The linen charge wasn’t clearly shown on the booking site. I was told about it only after booking, when the reservation was non-refundable. In my view, that comes close to deceptive practice.

The location gets five out of five from me. It’s very convenient, close to the hiking entrance, a supermarket, a gas station, and other facilities. The rooms are clean and well maintained, and the kitchen and bedroom have everything needed. There’s a lovely view of the river, and parking is right by each cabin, so you don’t have to walk far.

Lovely atmosphere, great staff, and delicious food. If you’re in Åre, you have to come here. I’ll definitely be back!

The hot stone dinner was a real experience, and the restaurant was amazing. Matilde gave us a warm welcome, and the restaurant and hospitality teams did a marvelous job. The owners should be proud of her and the team. Our four-person apartment with sauna was a little outdated, though a refresh wouldn’t hurt. The upstairs neighbor’s heat pump motor is on the living room side, and you can hear it start up. It could be irritating when sitting there. We slept at the back, so fortunately it didn’t bother us at night.
