STF Åre Torg Vandrarhem

It's a hostel, so don't expect anything lavish, but it's fresh and has what you need. There are no bathrooms in the rooms, though the shared facilities are good and kept clean. Breakfast buffet is included in the affordable price, too. The location is excellent, right in the middle of Åre, close to the lifts and everything else in Åre torg. I'd definitely recommend it if you're after a cheap, central hotel or hostel!

The shared lounge is a cozy spot to unwind or play games, and breakfast at the neighboring restaurant, "Brödernas," was a good, filling buffet. Our room had its own toilet and shower, both in "new" condition; cheaper rooms without them are available too. The hotel is right by Åre square, with plenty of restaurants, and only about 70 meters from the ski lift. I don't think you'll find a closer hotel.

The breakfast buffet is really good and included in the price, and the rates are affordable. The shared bathrooms are clean and well kept, since rooms typically don't have their own. It's an old hostel with nothing lavish, but you can't beat the spot, right in central Åre and close to the VM6 lift.

The staff were kind, and both the rooms and shared areas were kept really clean with nice interiors. It's also very close to the station and a ski lift.
