Jumbo Stay - Hostel

The airport transport was so easy and on time, and the place was quiet all night. We were given connecting rooms without even asking, which helped a lot as a family. The rooms are small, of course, but the beds were incredibly comfortable and everything was spotless. A fantastic, unusual place to stay. I’d come back without hesitation.

We stayed in the cockpit and black box suites for a night to try out this unusual place. The beds were fine, and we were glad to have private bathrooms. Despite being near the airport, there was no noise trouble and we slept well. It isn’t a luxury hotel, but I think the experience is worth it for a night or two. We got in late, and the shuttle dropped us on the main road, a block or two from the "plane". The fuselage rooms mean climbing a few flights of outside stairs or taking the lift. Our lift was out of service after some people overloaded it, and because it was the holidays they couldn’t find anyone to repair it then. Hopefully it’ll be working when you visit.

The rooms were clean and had enough space, and I enjoyed watching planes arrive and depart right next to the airport. The experience was good overall. The plane itself looks old outside, and its age shows, so it could use some renovation. Some parts of the plane are off limits, even though they would make good photo spots.

After traveling for 24 hours, I just wanted to get some rest, but I got yelled at over the phone. I arrived after midnight and nobody was at reception, so I spent a long time waiting outside in the cold. When I finally reached someone who could open the door, they were really rude. The rooms are tiny, there was no shampoo in the bathroom, and the shared four-person rooms had just one outlet for charging my phone. The service was really bad. I don’t recommend staying here.
