Måby Park Hotel Arlanda

This was the worst service I’ve experienced while traveling. The whole mess could have been sorted out easily over WhatsApp, but instead it became a nightmare. The airport shuttle was the main reason I booked, and as a tourist without a local phone line, WhatsApp was essential for arranging pickup. I messaged the night before to confirm the details and got no reply. When I arrived, I called the WhatsApp number. They answered and immediately hung up. I called again and found my number had been blocked. I thought they might be busy, so I asked someone at an airport cafe to call the hotel and arrange pickup. They said it was on its way and would be there in five minutes. I ended up waiting outside for 35 minutes in -5 degrees. Then at reception, I found two men at the desk doing nothing and laughing.

We needed a cheap place for a short sleep after arriving very late, and this was just right. The beds were fine, and we left first thing in the morning. The free shuttle was great, though we had to call for information on where and when to catch it, and it took longer than expected. The shared bathrooms were a problem when my daughter walked in on someone who hadn’t locked the door. We walked about 10-15 minutes to the nearest bus stop and caught a bus to Marsta train station.

Please don’t give people a pickup time and then ignore it. This wasn’t fun with two small babies, sitting around and waiting. When we arrived at the airport, the shuttle left right in front of us. We were supposed to have another one at 6:30 in the morning. We came down at 6:30, but it had just left, so we waited 15 minutes. The next shuttle then waited for other people, and we didn’t finally leave the hotel until almost 7:00. Don’t book this hotel.

I’d read the comments beforehand, so nothing caught me by surprise. There were a lot of bugs in the room, probably a summer thing. The bed was comfortable, it was fairly quiet at night, and the restrooms were clean. The shuttle was really useful. It’s fine for sleeping a few hours before a flight, as long as bugs don’t bother you.
