The location is lovely, and we liked the garden and the idea of breakfast baskets. We stayed three nights at the end of July, though, and several things were disappointing. Every morning something was missing from our basket, one day an egg, another time cookies or strawberries. At dinner we waited over 30 minutes just to order. No one apologized, and the menu was taken away before we had even ordered. Staff were friendly, but came across as quite unprofessional, perhaps because many seemed to be working students. Our room’s bathroom needs work, with mold at the bottom of the door and in the shower corners. The loaner bikes also needed repairs, with rusty chains and brakes that didn’t work.

We only stopped because we were looking for coffee, and ended up finding a lot more. It’s a cozy little restaurant that also has a hotel, with really tasty fish dishes and cakes. The staff were very friendly, and both the indoor and outdoor seating areas were roomy, nicely decorated, and well cared for. There’s free parking, and some very nice beaches are close by.

The breakfast was really good, and the staff were friendly. It’s a charming group of houses, though the old building has thin walls and you can hear the neighbors quite clearly. The restaurant also isn’t open in the evenings.

Breakfast in the picnic bag was a great idea. It was easy to take along and eat by the water, and the food was great. Our room, though, was very small and poorly ventilated, with a damp smell. The bathroom could use a renovation.

We had such a lovely weekend, with delicious food and a warm atmosphere. The staff were amazing, and the customer service was excellent. Try the picnic basket lunch, it’s great to take along to the beach.
