The grill buffet was the standout for me, with excellent local produce. Breakfast was good too, with a nice spread that included locally made meats and smoked sausage. The accommodation is simple but clean, and the Swedish Tourist Association looks after it. Staff were friendly, helpful, and knew their stuff.

This feels like a stay in a classic Swedish home from the early 1900s. The bedrooms are small but cozy, and the quiet setting makes it easy to relax. It’s in southern Öland and straightforward to reach by car. Both breakfast and dinner are home-cooked and very good.

We spent three days at the guesthouse and had a great time. The rooms were simple and comfortable, the food was delicious and all homemade. The host family were warm and personal, and the place felt genuinely cozy. Lovely Öland was great for seeing orchids.

The weather was the one thing that let us down a little. Otherwise, the food was so good that I really filled up during our days on Öland. I think it was all made in their own kitchen, with the whole family involved.
