Lydinge Resort

The pools were decent and the inside was okay, but the day spa was a letdown. The website listed more hot tubs or jacuzzis, yet only two were working, and the saunas were off. We tried calling reception and going there in person, but it was closed and nobody answered. The restaurant staff were doing their jobs and said there was no one at reception, but there was no spa staff around to ask either. We lost our money coming here. A bad experience.

The restaurant is quite cozy, which is a plus. I tried the lunch twice: a decent husmanskost-style meal, usually with three choices, meat, fish, and vegetarian, plus a small salad selection and coffee or tea with biscuits. It costs about 140kr, a bit steep for Skåne and the food quality. Portions run small, though I still felt reasonably full afterwards.

The location is great and the golf course is okay, but there are many better places for the price. I’d stay away. Service felt unwelcome and unpleasant, apart from a few waiters who tried. The rooms were small, uncomfortable, very hot, and constantly smelled of smoke from the outdoor “spa”. Breakfast was really bad. Lunch left two of us sick for 1,5 days. Dinner was quite okay, though the wine list was very limited. The spa looked like a million on social media, but in person it felt like a scam. Calling this a resort seems like a stretch.

We were here in winter, but I can imagine it being amazing in summer with the golf and paddle facilities. The relax area is on the small side, though nice and fresh. Our rooms were very cosy, the service was excellent, and the kitchen made a three course meal vegan for me. It was outstanding, and very good value for money.
