I had to find another hotel after arriving to find this one closed, even though I had booked a room. Nothing in the reservation process or on the hotel's website said that the hotel and reception weren't open at 8 pm. That's essential information, so the service was poor.

I got to see one of the rooms, and it was spotless, with all the basics provided. While a family member was staying at First Hotel City, the staff made us feel welcome too. They brought us coffee and cakes and made sure we had what we needed. Their kindness really stayed with us. For a few days in the busy center of Eskilstuna, I'd recommend First Hotel for its convenient location and the warm service.

The room was clean, but tiny, with no wardrobe or minibar. The location is good, though the price is high for what you get. Service was pretty poor: no early check-in, and reception closes at 10 pm. The front door is locked, so an unexpected late arrival could leave you unable to get inside. It feels more like a hostel than a hotel. There are much better options in Eskilstuna, and I won't choose this one again.

The location is really convenient, right by the train station and close to the city center for food and shopping. The reception service was great, and the small breakfast room felt cozy. The food selection was standard for Sweden. The rooms were clean and a decent size for me, though the decor was quite austere. The place felt more like a hostel than a hotel.

The breakfast was average in both quality and selection, but the people were very friendly and my room was pleasant and spacious. One little surprise: beer at the reception costs noticeably less than at other hotels. Nice hotel.
