Dockside Hostel Old Town

The rooms were clean, the kitchen was nice, and the showers were good. I paid SEK240 a night during the busiest holiday period, which seemed fair. The room was so large that it got a little chilly at night, even with both heaters on. There are lots of stairs, so it wouldn't suit someone with limited mobility. You'll need your own sheets, duvet cover, and pillowcase, though you can rent them. That seems common in Sweden and not a rule unique to this hostel. It's a great base if you want to be right among the places worth visiting.

The hostel was clean, and the guy at reception was really friendly. The kitchen was adequate, though the place didn't have much of a social feel. Definitely not a party hostel. I stayed in August in a ground-floor single room with two single beds and a window. Most dorms are one level down, though a few are on the ground floor. There are enough bathrooms downstairs. Only two toilets are on the ground floor, but I only had to wait once. The location is one of the best.

I liked this quaint little hostel in Stockholm's old town and enjoyed my stay. It was a bit noisy from the street, but the service was great and the staff were very friendly.

The location is spot on for a quick city break, and I'd recommend it for that. Rooms, beds, and showers are nothing special, but perfectly fine. The lockers are really small, so we had to get creative about keeping our bags secure.
