Falkenberg Strandbad

The pool club service was the weak spot. The person I assume was the manager came across as cold toward the staff and kept flirting with the bartender behind the ferns, which didn't seem professional. The rest of my time at Strandbaden was wonderful: a welcoming reception, a well-appointed hotel, and sublime restaurants with great attention to detail throughout.

A wonderful winter getaway. The rooms were amazing and clean, and the pool water was really hot. We enjoyed the French cuisine so much. Top 🎀🎄🥳

Sandy’s Grill was the standout of our two-day stay. The food was a big step up from the more traditional Famille restaurant. Service at both places was very slow, though, and getting a waiter's attention could take a while. Breakfast is consistently excellent whenever we visit, and the staff overall listen to guest feedback and take it on board. We come to Falkenberg Strandbad regularly as our go-to spot in southern Sweden for a relaxing, detoxifying retreat. A couple of things to plan for: same-day spa treatments aren't available, so book ahead. The rooms are small, and the facilities are starting to look their age. Some renovation would be welcome.

The place looks nice, but the spa can get so crowded that there's nowhere to sit, let alone do anything else. The managers should keep track of how many guests are using it and turn away spa bookings when it's full, instead of just taking the money. 👍
