Rates are cheap compared with other hotels in the area, and you get what you pay for. The common areas are limited and very small. Bedrooms are also small, and the furniture isn’t elegant, but at least it’s clean. Wi-Fi is free. Breakfast is basic, with cold ham and cheese as the continental options. It’s suitable if you need an inexpensive night. Be very careful about parking: the hotel has its own parking, so don’t leave the car overnight in an external parking area or you’ll be fined.

The shower was unusable. Its tap was broken, and the hose was so damaged and leaky that hardly any water came through, even when I held the showerhead myself. The room was extremely dirty, and the whole building smelled terrible. I had a really bad, disappointing stay.

By the end of my first night, I was wondering if sleeping in the car would be better. You hear every footstep and every toilet flush from next door, and the dirt, smell, and noise made the place feel unsafe. It came across more like a hostel for tradespeople than a hotel. I'd pay the extra 100SEK and stay at the Scandic across the street.

We'd come back if we planned to spend our days out in the city. For a bargain hotel in Sweden, this was just right: our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and we slept well. My wife and I even liked having the slide-out bunk beds, since we could sleep apart for a night. Breakfast was simple but had enough choice to keep us full until dinner, which helps if you're watching every cent. Free parking in a locked garage was a great extra.
