I spent a month at the hostel and had a fantastic time. Chantal and Robin are welcoming, helpful hosts, and they know plenty about things to do nearby. The room and bathrooms were clean, and there’s lots to enjoy indoors: a well-equipped kitchen, a big cozy living room, a pool table, coworking space, and a restaurant. There’s also a nice outdoor area, and pets are welcome. If you like being outside, there’s plenty to do. I’d happily stay again.

You can use the kitchen in the main house, The yellow house, if you want to cook. I sometimes didn’t feel like making anything, so the 50kr lunchbox was handy; the food was alright. Staying in Vandrarhemmet cost me 300kr per night as one person. The B&B option would be 800kr per night for one person, so it depends which you choose. Breakfast was great, and so was the cake with ice cream at the restaurant. We loved this B&B and hostel in beautiful Hammarstrand. We’ll come back sometime!

I’ve actually been back for the third time now. The owners have changed, and Robin and Chantal are fantastic hosts who help however they can. It’s an amazing place with lovely people, and I’m already looking forward to coming back again.
