Right in central Stockholm, Hotel City is close to tourist attractions, restaurants, bars, and shops, which makes it a handy base for exploring the city. It’s a cosy, elegant hotel.

The staff let us use a reserved parking spot for one night at no extra charge, which is why I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1. But our room was extremely hot on a summer evening, and although I mentioned our food allergy requirements both when booking and at check-in, they forgot to provide suitable breakfast alternatives. Our kids had very limited choices. Staff came in to look for a temperature dial. The folder in the room said there should be one in every room, but they couldn’t find it. They said they’d call the facility owner, then never came back or contacted us. It was terrible. I can’t recommend this hotel. Stay somewhere else.

If reception is closed when you arrive, you’ll need a code to get in. Make sure your phone is charged so you can receive it :)
