Bad.

The shower downstairs was ice cold; the one upstairs was better and much fresher. The fridge froze all the vegetables I brought along, as well as the boiled eggs. The kitchenette felt a bit grubby, there was no waste sorting, and the rubbish smell lingered for days. We searched everywhere for a new rubbish bag and eventually found a used one in a cleaning cupboard. Someone ought to check on the place a couple of times a week, surely? It was cheap and basic, but at least there was a roof over our heads and the bed was perfectly okay. I brought my own dish brush and towel.

It’s been refurbished and freshened up, and the room was renovated. If you stayed here more than two years ago, you may be pleasantly surprised, it’s not the same place now. The sports hotel is gone; it’s called Sportvilan today and is run by Härnösand Municipality. Call to book.

We were a group of workers staying at this sports hotel in a good location, and had both pleasant and unpleasant surprises. The rooms are large, private, and clean, but there are no clothes hangers or shelves. The corridors were cold, and the rooms were cold too without heaters. Hockey players aged 17-20 were also staying there and gathered in the conference room, making noise until 4 a.m. Every word carried through the plasterboard walls, so we got very little sleep during the week. The mess some of them left in the small kitchen hardly needs mentioning.
