I was there for the yearly reunion with my work colleagues. The hotel was nice, the food was good, and the staff were friendly and capable. If you get the chance, try the “wafflad lussekatter” with jam and cream cheese.

The food was good, and the atmosphere felt peaceful and romantic. This beautiful slott sits among lush greenery, with a lovely garden behind the castle and the option of holding a ceremony there. It’s less than 30 minutes from Stockholm and seems perfect for a wedding with 80-100 guests.

We spent a couple of really nice days here for our yearly EWC meeting, held in Sweden this year. We even had bright sunshine for the first two days, which made the large hotel grounds and park especially enjoyable. Our meeting room for 9-10 people was in the slott (castle) for two days, with a large Hisense touch monitor, probably 65 inches, that worked well for my presentations. The rooms in the other building were okay, and the breakfast, lunch, and dinner were very good. We also tried several Swedish beers at the bar in the evenings, and both the red and white wines were good. We arrived Monday at noon and left Thursday morning.

The setting is gorgeous, with lovely nature nearby and Lake Mälaren close by. It’s in the northwest part of beautiful Stockholm. The place was built in 1650, passed through many owners, and eventually became the property of the municipality of Stockholm. Everything was great apart from dinner, which took a very long time to arrive.
