The rooms just off the sea were the quietest and most relaxing I’ve had in the Stockholm area, and the beds were comfortable. Everyone can adjust the bed’s firmness or softness, so there’s an option to suit each person. The staff were accommodating, too. Though breakfast officially started at 8am, they let us and others eat half an hour early. Fresh items were still coming out, including warm homemade baguettes, satisfying bacon, soft scrambled eggs, and oranges and apples guests could cut and press for fresh juice. There were some frustrating parts. We arrived at 20:00, but the kitchen was closed, so we couldn’t eat in the restaurant. On a weekday, breakfast is listed as 08:00-10:00, which cuts out business travelers. Staff offered us dishes from the lunch menu instead, though only two choices remained because the ingredients had run out and a delivery wasn’t due until the next day. That was a little disappointing, though it did suggest they use fresh produce. The beer choices were limited too, and the listed options weren’t available. We picked replacements, and they were fine. It was still a pleasure to stay there.

The dinner at our wedding was excellent, as was the breakfast the next day, which we requested entirely vegan. The planning was a very good experience overall and ended at a reasonable cost. They helped us with our plans in an accommodating way, without taking over, and were able to meet most of our wants and needs. There were a couple of minor mishaps, but I’d recommend the place.

The building and its surroundings are really nice for a walk. I’ve visited twice: the first time was for dinner, and we stayed at the hotel and had a nice day. On my second visit, for a work conference, we were served a very poor lunch with no dessert, and the staff weren’t very helpful.

The food was great, and an awesome young woman served my friend and me. She was so good at looking after us, and it made me happy. These days, I feel like women at dining places usually don’t have those polite skills. I also had my dog with me, though he stayed outside in the garden.

I went to the cafe in the backyard, and the carrot cake was great. There was also a classic car gathering, apparently held every Wednesday, though I’m guessing it doesn’t happen in winter. Lots of beautiful cars were there, and people chatting about them were friendly.
