The best part of my stay was the man at reception. He was welcoming, friendly, and helpful, which made the experience easier to deal with. The hotel is near the station, but I arrived and left in the dark, so I couldn’t really judge the area. That’s why I gave the location three stars. The building feels old and worn, and it could use a long overdue makeover. There’s no elevator, so I had to haul my suitcase up to the third floor. My room was basic and mostly clean, though the chair had an ugly stain. It was right by the stairs, and between the creaky floors and thin sound insulation, I couldn’t sleep until the last guests on my floor returned. Breakfast was basic too.

After 24 hours of travel from Germany to Sweden, canceled trains left us stuck in Hässleholm with no way to continue. We urgently needed somewhere to sleep, and this hotel turned out to be more than we could have hoped for. The person who helped us was so kind and understanding. She put us in a downstairs room, which made things easier with our very heavy luggage, and even brought us fruit when she noticed we hadn’t eaten. I traveled in September and still remember how thoughtful she was. Thank you for cheering us up!

They don’t seem to like having customers here. The cleaners came into my room without knocking, and the receptionist told me to leave without asking. The only good thing was the location.
