Continental Apartment Hotel Helsingborg

Great location, but the customer service was horrible. The bathroom still had hairs, stains, and toothpaste marks from previous guests. We asked for more cleaning, and heard nothing by text or phone. The next morning, cleaning staff walked straight into our room while we were asleep and woke us up. When we called about it, Manager Kristina kept saying “yeah okay bye” and hanging up.

The owner was friendly and polite on the phone, and when we asked for a room heater, they kindly brought one. The apartment was neat and clean, in a great spot: Helsingborg Central Station, where you can catch the ferry, is just a 6-minute walk away. The church is across the street, Kärnan is 2 minutes away on foot, and Coop is a 3-minute walk.

The location is great, and self-service check-in and check-out worked well. For the price, the rooms and shared spaces were OK. The real problem was the cleaning. It was really inadequate and left me feeling awful. They didn't clean thoroughly: the throw blankets never seemed to be changed, the shower wasn't properly cleaned, the sink was clogged, and the mattress was dirty. I could see the mattress because the fitted sheets were too short.

The accommodation was cozy, and the location was just perfect, near the ferry, bus and train stations, bars, and restaurants.
