The breakfast was tasty and plentiful, with brilliant coffee. Staff were friendly and helpful, and parking across the road was close and secure. The sheets, room, and bathroom were all clean, and the room was comfortable. The decor is quirky and old-fashioned, with crystal chandeliers.

Room quality seemed to come down to luck. I got a renovated one, but others were given unrenovated rooms and some changed rooms several times. I’m also unsure about the cleaning. Staff came in daily, but a couple of telltale drops in front of the toilet were still there, which was unpleasant and made it seem like the floors weren’t being cleaned. It’s an acceptable hotel. I was there with a group.

It’s got some character and atmosphere, and was well worth it. This isn’t a full-service hotel open 24/7, but that didn’t matter. Maybe I was lucky to get a newly renovated room. It wasn’t the biggest, but it was very comfortable and really nice.

The room was so cold we didn’t want to take our clothes off. Breakfast was okay. We parked on the street instead of using the parking house, which would have cost over 20EUR.

Breakfast was average and could use improvement, but the staff were very kind and the welcome was pleasant. It’s a cozy, old-fashioned hotel with large rooms, in an excellent spot in the city centre, in front of the harbour and station. A convenient garage space can be booked in advance.
