Our midsummer trip was ruined. We booked this “villa” for the celebration, then got a message a few days beforehand saying that because of an error, we’d be moved “at no extra cost” to “Destination Strandbaden.” It was nothing like Villa Lindel or the services it promises. The owner wouldn’t answer the phone, even when the receptionist at the other accommodation tried to reach them. What we found out there, along with other reviews, made it seem like this happens often and may be a regular practice. Based on what the offer included, there’s no way the other place costs nearly as much as our booking. We left and went back to Malmö to spend time together at home instead of in random motel rooms, two by two. One of the worst booking experiences I’ve had. I do NOT recommend booking here.

Do not book this for a group stay. We reserved the villa for eight people through booking.com weeks ahead of midsummer, but were moved at very short notice to “Destination Strandbaden” with a very strange explanation. We were told it apparently has the same owner. It was nothing like what we’d booked, basically a campsite with double rooms and a shared kitchen, which wasn’t what we wanted for celebrating midsummer together. There was no indoor sitting area available to us after 8pm, and we couldn’t get hold of the owner. The receptionist said this happens all the time. The reviews for Destination Strandbaden describe the same thing.

I stayed Thursday night and left Friday. It was quiet and peaceful, with comfortable beds, and I had the whole upstairs to myself since I was the only guest. Everything I needed was there. Had a great night, so just lots of ++++++++++. I recommend villa lindell 👍👍 Sincerely, Kenneth växjöbuss

The place was tidy and pleasant, but the details about the accommodation and what it offered didn’t match what we found. The landlord should take another look at that information.

The host was the real highlight, so warm and welcoming 😍 It’s also very cozy, just a short distance from the center. I forgot to mention the tasty breakfast, which was just right for bikers.
