The instructor was very good. We learned the basics of riding an Icelandic horse on the track, then went for a ride in the forest, a fun combination. It was so nice to ride together with my 9-year-old daughter in a safe and enjoyable way. We didn't stay in a room, so I can't comment on that. Highly recommended!

A dream day for the kids, who got to go horseback riding! We had a fantastic stay on a peaceful farm with lovely horses and a delicious breakfast.

We had a fantastic horseback ride, and the whole stay in this lovely, picturesque place surrounded by nature was absolutely magical.

Tuvagård is in a fantastic spot, with nature right around the corner. We stayed in Grandma's Cottage. Someone met us at reception, handed over the key, and let us go to the house on our own. When I asked about the spa bath and animals, I didn't get a particularly friendly or welcoming answer. The owner seemed to want the night off and to hand things over to his daughter. I've seen other reviews mention a little farm tour and seeing the animals, but we didn't get that. The house was spacious and nice, and the AC was on. The vacuum cleaner had been left in the middle of the kitchen floor. The kitchen had been remodeled, but they seemed to have forgotten to update the glasses, plates, bread knife, and other items. Some plastic cups were completely discolored inside, really dirty. The glasses, mugs, and plates weren't clean. A couple of wine glasses on the shelf had become really greasy from sitting there. Mugs and bowls were all leaning against the edge. The cutlery was odd and poorly washed, and there were little green fluff bits on the black cutting board. The double bed has seen better days, with worn-out mattresses. An extra mattress in the bunk bed would have helped, as those beds probably aren't meant for adults. We also found other people's hair on the mattresses and dust here and there. At checkout, nobody asked how our stay had been. We had a very different experience at Tuvagård from the one others describe. The location is still lovely and idyllic, but on that particular day, it didn't live up to its potential.
