Yggdrasil Igloo Water Huts Skåne

The price was around 600 € a night, or 500 € if you bring your own food, and we kept wondering what made it cost so much. The pictures online looked great, but the actual experience was quite different. The food was okay, though nothing special for the price. We had the grill plate, and if you’re not used to a grill-egg, preparing the supplied food can be a struggle. Outside, it was unfortunately dirty. Cleaning the underside of the glass would make the view better, which seems important since people pay mainly to look out from the glass igloo. Inside, the igloo could be a little bigger, especially the toilet. It only has a curtain, so you’d better know the person you’re staying with fairly well. The setting by the lake was okay, but Sweden has better lakeside spots. It wasn’t very quiet, since traffic from the nearby road could be heard, and the other Igloos were about 200 meters away. The water was very low, leaving everything muddy with a strong, annoying smell. Of course, that’s nature and there wasn’t anything they could do about it.

The view was what made the night so special. We could see stars right above us, and waking and falling asleep to that breathtaking scenery was unforgettable. The place is unique, with modern amenities, and the food at both dinner and breakfast was delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure we had what we needed and felt comfortable. We had a wonderful night at Yggdrasil Igloo Water Huts and can’t recommend it enough to anyone looking for a special stay with lovely views, great food, and a fantastic atmosphere.

Martin looked after us well and drove us from a suitable parking spot to the igloo itself, since the farm was a bit flooded and we couldn’t have walked out without tall rubber boots. We may have been unlucky with the flooding, but the surroundings were beautiful. The igloo was lovely and had everything you need for a night, thoughtfully arranged down to the details, with a very comfortable bed. The burgers and breakfast were really good too. I’d definitely recommend it for a night in nature and a different kind of stay.

The inside of the igloo was beautiful and it was designed really well. We saw lots of wildlife outside. The toilet is simple, and remember a cooler bag if you want cold drinks. We loved every second and are coming back in winter.
