Kåseberga Hideout

I’d stopped in spontaneously and hadn’t known about the shop before. I bought a cup and was happy with the service. When I noticed a small defect later that day, they replaced it right away. After my holiday, the cup didn’t survive the trip home. I emailed just to let them know, not to complain, and within a couple of hours I got a reply saying they’d send another. They did, and a new cup arrived today. Best service ever!

We stayed for two January nights, with temperatures below zero, but the apartment heating kept us warm. It was cosy and had everything we needed. Since it was off-season, nobody else seemed to be staying there, so it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Check-in and check-out were easy with the instructions sent by email. There are hiking trails right outside, with stunning views of the Baltic Sea, wide grass plains meeting the sky, and beaches from the area’s hilly viewpoints. It’s a wonderful base for exploring Ales Stenar and the trails. I had no problems and would love to return in summertime.

I wouldn’t recommend this cafe. He said using the toilet would cost 2000 kronor, or €?, and assumed I wasn’t going to buy coffee. I would have bought coffee and looked around his store if he’d been more of a gentleman. He also bragged about living in a van. In Australia we live in our vans in every season! Come to the land down under and you can use my toilet for free! 😂

Ulf was so kind, gracious, and welcoming. Everything was impeccable, from the decor and amenities to the setting in these beautiful surroundings. A magical place, a true piece of paradise.
