Järnvägshotellet i Edsbyn

That breakfast was really poor. It seemed like the food had been kept around and served again over several days. Even the bacon came out completely black, which says plenty.

The upstairs dining space worked well for us: we could use the microwave, fridge, plates and cutlery after picking up a light dinner at the grocery store. We were a family of four staying three nights in a room with a double bed and sofa bed. It was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is right in the village, so getting around on foot was easy. We arrived after the staff had finished for the day and couldn't get our key to work. One phone call brought someone over quickly to fix it, which we really appreciated after travelling all day with small children. Breakfast was fairly basic on the weekday we were there, though we were told it's much better at weekends.

Having a balcony of our own was a nice touch, and free parking is always welcome. The room was fresh, clean and tidy, although a little noisy. Breakfast was acceptable, with perfectly cooked eggs and very good coffee. The orange juice could have had a fuller flavor. I would have given it four stars if the restaurant had been open. A City Hotel of a good standard.

It's nice to have a hotel in Edsbyn, and this is a pleasant one 👍 The family room gave the kids a separate room, which was good. But the regular double bed was old and worn, and not comfortable at all. They really need to replace those beds. Service could have been better too.
