We had the last room, which was on the small side, but I still slept for 9.5 hours, so the bed was fine. The restaurant is cozy rather than huge, the food is delicious, and the hosts are friendly. Inside, the inn has an old-fashioned feel, with Chesterfields and a lit fireplace, but it’s clean and has all the amenities. The autumn scenery is gorgeous, and there are hiking trails for different ability levels. The surroundings are peaceful, at least in autumn 😀, with a golf course across the way for people who enjoy that.

We had a great meal, especially the seasonally flavored crème brûlée and lavender blueberry sorbet, if those are available. The staff also helped us choose dinner options that would keep our toddler comfortable and full. With an infant and a toddler, travel can be stressful, but the hotel made our family feel welcome and took that stress away. Our cozy room was well placed for exploring the nearby trails. The bathroom worked fine, though a bit more counter space would have helped. We highly recommend it as a retreat while exploring Sweden’s west coast.

The area is really beautiful, and the hotel itself is very cozy, quiet, and peaceful, with an old English style. The room had dated decor, but it was tidy and nothing special. Breakfast was okay, with a nice view. The surroundings are the main reason to stay here.
