Hotell Hulingen

The hotel and staff were very nice, and going with my two kids felt easy and comfortable. The pub restaurant was pricey, though. The food was just OK, unfortunately, and took a long time to arrive. At that price, I expected more.

This is our third year in a row staying at the hotel with my family. It's a clean, calm place with very friendly, helpful staff who create a lovely atmosphere. The location also makes it convenient for exploring nearby places such as Astrid Lindgrens värld. I'd recommend staying here.

The staff were especially helpful, from reception to the restaurant, and you could tell they were doing their best for guests. Our family of two adults and a seven-year-old boy stayed in a standard room. It was a bit small, as you'd expect for that room type, but the third bed pulls out from under the main one and can be put away during the day, which is a clever way to save space. The fridge and microwave are in the corridor outside the room. We liked the hotel's interesting design, which you can see on the website, and enjoyed the roof spa, though the clock up there wasn't working. There was a construction site in the square right outside, which was a disturbance, but I assume that was beyond the hotel's control and hope it's finished soon. Comfortable, good value for money, and highly recommendable.

The hotel itself is average, though the staff are friendly. Music fans have more to enjoy: pictures of artists who played at Hultsfreds Festivalen cover the walls in the rooms and shared areas, and I guess many of them stayed here too. Live bands play every week.
