Our car broke down while we were passing through on the way to see family in Kvillsfors, so we had to find somewhere to stay. The reviews had put us off at first, but it was getting late and we didn't have many options. The receptionist kindly showed us to our rooms, and we didn't see anyone acting strangely or wandering around. The rooms, sheets, and towels were cozy and clean, though the place could use a little renovation. We had breakfast in the dining area the next morning. The food was perfectly fine and the portions were generous. It turned out to be a comfortable stay, and nothing unpleasant happened. Also, one of my fans works here 👍🏻

The hotel is unpleasant to look at, an architectural disgrace among all the beautiful Swedish buildings nearby. Service was basically nonexistent. As for the hamburger, it looked like it had spent a week in the trash at McDonald's. Eating here felt a lot like eating at a gas station. If I somehow avoid food poisoning, I might call that worth the one star as a pleasant surprise.

The owners were kind and did their best to look after us. We were in the area for work and sometimes got back late, but they kept the kitchen open so we could have dinner. The place feels more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel, and most rooms share one shower and bathroom.
