Huskvarna Hostel

You can arrive whenever you like using the self check-in code. The room was a good price, with two beds and a small toilet and sink. The shower and kitchen are shared, and people talking in the corridor can be heard in the room. The kitchen has a fridge, coffee maker and kettle. Breakfast was good, but you have to book it in advance.

There are restaurants and shops within walking distance, and the inn is close to downtown Huskvarna. Inside, it was very clean, with pleasant lounge areas and shared kitchens. Breakfast was delicious and had all the essentials. My only gripe was the old fashioned dryer technology. It’s a cozy place in a handy location.

The main issue for me was the curtains. They let in so much light that sleeping in during summer was difficult, so bring something to make the windows darker. The hotel building was cozy, though the floors creaked and sounds from the kitchen, living room and other rooms carried easily. The room itself was cozy too. Breakfast was simple, but fair for the price. There’s a hostel and a hotel in separate buildings. For low cost accommodation, I thought it was reasonable.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and we got the assistance we needed. The other guests we met were cordial, saying hello and smiling, and we felt safe during our stay. Even though the hostel was full, it didn’t feel crowded. It’s in a residential area, with some daytime noise from cars and people passing, but it was quiet at night. Parking is paid street parking around the area, payable at a self service kiosk or through the Easypark app. We stayed in the hostel in a room with its own toilet and shared showers. The shower room was clean and there was usually no wait. There’s also a shared kitchen and fridge. The kitchen was clean, but the fridge was full of guests’ food and smelled off when opened. The room was dated and mostly clean, though the floor was sandy. In July it was unbearably hot, even with the window open. The bed and pillow weren’t very comfortable, but were manageable for a short stay. We rented fresh, pressed sheets and towels. The place was good value and conveniently connected to the highway.
